how breaking the core with speed feels like:

Really cool game! i love the visuals and the overall aesthetic and am looking forward to your future projects!

the only thing that confused me was i thought it was supposed to save after going to a different floor but the game didn't save for me. i went through multiple doors and when i closed out and came back it loaded me to the part where you save at the statue at the beginning.

did you load your manual save or the auto save? they have different slots

Hey, I couldn't download this. the download link took me to google drive, but when I hit download, it says too many people have tried to download this file recently.

omg same

(+1)

Download from the alternative link on mega.nz. it worked for me. the google drive link didn't for me either.

Love the game, long time fan. ive finally got to play the newest update recently and wanted to share my gameplay. Love your work and im looking forward to updates for this game.

i have the 0.14 version and it doesn't let me save my game, i stare at the Pietà statue and at the save-slots screen it doesn't save

(1 edit)

go report it in the discord server

(1 edit)

where is that discord exactly? i can't find any discord link in this official page of the game

I found a solution too, i simply have to run the game in administrator mode before playing

I absolutely LOVE this game. I downloaded it on a whim and I'm absolutely blown away by the amount of work that's gone into it. The game is gorgeous, the cutscenes especially so. Every time I stumbled on to one I got so so so excited, because I knew I was going to be in for a visual treat. Exploring is tedious at points but I haven't found myself minding it. Yes, you'll get repeating rooms a lot, but finding new door and characters isn't that hard as long as you're willing to move quickly through these repeating rooms. The characters you find are by far my absolute favorite part of this game. Somehow each one has such a distinct personality that I've found myself falling in love with them, despite the absolutely massive amount of them. Whenever I saw someone new I'd immediately go talk to them and their dialogue always seemed to add something new to the world. Figuring out the "Special" ones is also an absolute blast, and I hope there will be more of them when the game is officially out, specially for some of the more quiet characters. The story is also super interesting and I've really enjoyed trying to piece it together. Mel and those entangled with her feel so real, adding to the tragedy of them residing in a place that's draining them of their selves. I'm not super far in but I really can't wait to see more of the machines and the angel and what they mean for Mel's redemption, if she can find it. I haven't played the original but I plan to once I get as far as I can in this. 10/10, I absolutely love this game.

I love the fever dream aesthetics of this game!! however, many of the floors are just black and white (and maybe red) with nothing special that makes them memorable. the randomization gets a bit tiring too, as i constantly try to get the subway event and yet to no avail... characters' sets of dialogues tend to repeat multiple times during my playthrough,  which really destroys the experience. The carver for example, his dialogues gave me chills but then the whole thing keeps repeating again and again whenever i encounter him after that. It just feels... very "gamey".

overall, i really love this game as it's a unique experience, but the magic fades away really fast after a few hours. This game has a lot of potential! That being said, I'm looking forward to the full release (・∀・)

was this actually made in rpg maker? if so that's insane.

yeah, it uses mv3d

COOL, THANK YOU FOR THE INFO, COCKSUCKER 7000.

anytime, TalentlessBigboi

What engine is this made in? i've always wanted to make something like this

rpg maker mz

i've been really enjoying playing this game for the past week or two, but i have small issue with it which is me pressing SHIFT in the middle of dialogue which bugs it out so i'm unable to see what's happening on the screen

new Update= -fps :(

I love this game, very reminiscent of Yume Nikki to me, great character designs, and also the file names are funny. I especially find the all capital letters "anime" in the files of the anime looking characters. perhaps a manly badass hero shoutout? either way funny, and the story is great, good fighting against purgatory theme going on as far as I can tell. the font is cool too. 10/10 for me honestly.

Imagine, that joel g and kira (kira llc, creator of spooky mansion) had a son

This looks like if joel g made a game with sewerslvt. I'm looking forward to playing this

Recently played through the original Disillusion, loved it. Will definitely try out this demo sometime. It's shocking how much of the original I actually ended up understanding. Also yes, this game was brought to my attention because haha funni pizza man Vinny.

Err, I mean, CAWCAWCAW!

vvv They hate him because he spreads the truth

(+1)(-16)

I saw the vinny stream and my first thought was "oh god, give this a few days and r34 artist will go wild with it"
Love the style of the game btw

(+8)(-1)

Coomer

(+5)(-3)

you fear the truth, as do I. It is impossible to protect something from the coomers. especially if it has a clown/mime girl in it.

(+4)(-7)

they hated jesus because he spread the truth, just like you gachi man

(+2)(-6)

the truth is painful for many.

(+3)(-1)

What is this art style? It looks super interesting and if someone could give me a broad name of it that would be great <3

It's the early "we wanna do 3d but we don't have the hardware to do 3d" style of early-cgly lit rendes with color limits

think stuff like early saturn/late genesis games

Hi, really love the game! Sorry to bug about this but I checked the music link and I'm struggling to find this specific song. It starts out with a bass guitar being plucked and then alternates with strumming throughout. It's a pretty short loop and seems to play in the more scary areas. Do you happen to know which track I'm thinking of? I know this is vague but hoping to find it because i love it a lot.

it might be called midnight street in the files, i think that’s what you are referring to at least

Thank you! that is exactly it.

please put this game on game jolt too! could receive a lot of popularity

8 hours in. I've been told I need to go to the city to find a new door, but I've no idea how to reach that area again. I spent 2 hours trying to get there but I can't.
I also can't use the train, since no NPC spawns to take me there whenever I spawn at the train station.
Please help!

(-1)

hard to know where you are, or what’s happening but bare in mind the game is still unfinished and being worked on.

(1 edit)

The game as a lot of issue with RNG so you just have to pray you go to a zone again and just aimlessly walk around hoping you get lucky. The RNG is the biggest issue.

New update fixes that pretty much, I'd say it's now a lot easier to find meaningful locations because of new NPC interactions taking you to useful places.

Жиес я застрял на розовом уровне ни как не выйти пмргите

(+2)

its very annoying, you just get caught in the same loop, the randomization is frustrating to deal with.

I was a huge fan of the original disillusion, I've spread the word to my entire friend group and gotten roughly 6-7 people to buy and play it cause its a master piece.

but I've sadly come to dislike the most recent game . And this is not just my opinion but of the other friends who have tried out the most recent one as well.

For some reason every other zone is just some depressing grey level, the game took an entire 180 in terms of the design choices. I feel that's fine and understandable but the issue with this most recent game is that almost every single zone looks the same.

Most of the rooms you end up in are just grey sewer looking rooms, its just some of the tiles on the wall have different faces or snow is coming down. One of the rooms was awesome and very unique and then its back to the same dull levels over and over again.

It also doesn't help that there is no sense of direction in this game at all, in the first game it was quite linear and every door looked the same it was easy to follow. Black doors = new zone, and orbs = new sub zone.

With disillusion ST there is no rhythm or reason for anything, i've seen about five door types and none of them matter because whatever door you take  seems to have a mind of its own. you just end up in this loop over and over again, maybe the point is to feel lost but all it does is just make things extremely unfun to play.

There is no direction at all, the doors need to not have random places they take you cause you can take the same door and end up in two different places and both of them are grey basic rooms, and in that room is another door that takes you right back to where you were.

its not fun at all.

I think this game has awesome potential and I loved the original but the doors are a serious issue, it makes it so unfun and its ruined it for me, I hope you make another design choice to make things more easy to navigate cause its just hopeless.

Why is this 3GB? This seems to be awfully large.

Just want to let you know the downloads are currently unavailable since google drive has traffic limits.

Not sure if the high traffic will be consistent, pretty sure its related to a recent stream, but you might want to keep an eye on it and consider providing a secondary download source.

Downloaded just fine for me.

Odd, I'm getting the "Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently." message.

Google seems to complain about people without accounts, same msg, logged in, download started without a hitch

OMG I LOVED THE OG DISILLUSION I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE THERE WAS A NEW ONE YAY

It's really good! I love the characters, and I like that there's a wide range of how confusing they can be. I really like how the light is low and casts giant black shadows on the wall behind the characters.

I think combat feels a lot better than I thought it might just from watching gameplay videos   I'm really intrigued by this game.

I only stopped playing today because I challenged a clown to cards, but I only had 4 cards and clicking the 'return' button didn't work so I got stuck on the card selection screen hahah.

you may be missing a card you have further down on your list, usually the game will give you a message if you’ve too few. otherwise something else could be wrong, though the game auto saves every floor so if you must close it you’ll start right back where you were

(+1)

I think the message didn't come up. I started playing again today and when I tried to play cards with a bug it said 'too few cards'

should i play this before or after playing the first disillusion?

this is a prequel/ but i would say it doesn’t matter

Cannot download through the itch.io desktop app. From what I understand it's often overlooked but an easy fix on your end to implement. I realize I can get it elsewhere but I like to have my itch games organized in the same program.

when y is equal to f(x), ay/ax is the first derivative of f(x).

Hello, is the only way to access the usable items like warp orbs with the chests? When I open Item Menu I only see the things I need to collect.

yes

Hey, I adore this game! I'm about an hour in and...someone stole all my cards.  Are there other ways to get cards back? I got the starter deck and won a match, then had like three draws in a row, then i played someone who had a killer deck and took all my cards.

they can spawn randomly around the game in chests.

This was one of the most unique RPG Maker games I've ever played! Loved finding the characters, exploring the maps and finding the cutscenes. I think I've only scratched the surface of the game (Based on the description), but I did run into a couple of places a lot, so things got a little repetitive toward the end. I feel like this game is an excellent intersection of LSD: Dream Emulator, Yume Nikki and Hylics! Can't wait to see/play more. :)

These series of games are amazing, my favorite thing is the dialogue
